Since we began this journey together last year on the International Day of the girl child, we have done nothing short of great work. We have seen you dip deep into your pockets and brought a smile to a girl’s face. Using the mobile money fundraising platform Mchanga, we have raised enough money to have reached 200 girls in 5 community high schools in the age bracket of 14 to 19 years with provision of sanitary towels monthly, mentorship on life skills and the know hows on menstrual hygiene and management.
Boys in the schools were not left behind and they had mentorship from other successful young men in the community that they requested with them exploring their talents and being guided on how they can be supportive to the girls during their menstruation to see that we end menstrual stigma, end menstrual shame and end missing school because of a beautiful most natural girl and woman gift to the world.
We hope you will continue support us relentlessly and as well share ideas how we can make this a bigger thing than it already is, even getting the President to sign for our community schools to be part and parcel of beneficiaries of the sanitary towel program. The office at least owes us that much. You are welcome to make you donation here Adopt A Girl’s Month
